A Thought on Keeping Good Company…

We’ve all been there. We’re given an opportunity to take a big risk, to put it all out there and just go for it. One side of our brain tells us to dive in head-first, no holds barred; to invest all of our time, energy and resources into making it happen. Meanwhile, the other side is saying we’re completely nuts, urging us to take it slow and weigh the pros and cons; to not risk it all; to consider the opinions of others. Aside from my own worries and hesitations, my actions are frequently influenced by those around me. So, I’ve found that it’s important to surround myself with people who will build me up, hold me accountable, support my ambitions, and motivate me to think outside the box. I now choose my company wisely, and swiftly rid my inner circle of the naysayers. As Hans Henson put it, “People inspire you, or they drain you – pick them wisely.”
